For those of you who are theme-lovers and want to dress accordingly, think of all the class and elegance exuded during the 1920’s to 1950’s. Think ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’- Oh hey there, Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, or how about Mad Men, or Marilyn? Regardless, gentlemen, it’s time for you to SUIT UP. Top off your freshly pressed suit with a top hat, or slick back your hair, or don a bow tie. Look at some old Hollywood actors for inspiration, such as Cary Grant. Woowee, is that man a style icon or what?! The ¾ cuff exposure, slim cut jacket, a vest and attention to detail will lead you lovely men of OISA to a sharp and dapper look. Oh and by the way, add a pocket square, gold cuff links, fedora, or opt for a killer tie to tie your look together.

Now ladies, don’t you fret for I haven’t forgotten about you. This is the toughest part since we have quite a few options available to us. One is of course the Audrey Hepburn look; a sleeveless little black dress complete with some pearls and a pair of gloves. Or perhaps embrace the lace trend this season! Another option is a flapper inspired dress, you know, Great Gatsby style. Also, try out those floral prints or peplum styled dresses. Remember, vintage Hollywood style is all about giving women shape and accentuating their curves, all the while in a lady-like fashion, and topped with some red lipstick. Some hair tips include curls, waves, or beautiful up do’s. Whatever you choose, just don’t forget to shine! This is pretty much the only time of year we can get dolled up (well for me it is…awkward), so be sure to take advantage!

So ladies, grab your Mr. Grant (or your girls) and gentlemen shine those shoes and get ready for the banquet of the year. Keep it classy and can’t wait to see all you lovely people dressed to the tee at the NAC!

We’ve got Rex back safe and sound! He’s tired, but with a little sleep and considerably more food we’ll be able to get him back to his usual perky self in time for banquet and PSG! Now down to business, we wouldn’t have been able to save Rex without you! We are indebted to five operatives in particular: in fifth place, Al Zoheb Gangani; in fourth place, Comm Team Operative Amira Lalani, tied for third place, Ziah Sumar and Sabriya Karim; in second place Faaria Jessa; and in FIRST place with a sizeable lead on the competition, Allez Jetha!

You look up at the mascot you’ve been trying to rescue for seven long days. You’ve done some things you’re not proud of, you even had to give up your first in line position at food day to get one of the answers – but you DID IT! Exhilarated, and remembering all the spy movies you’ve ever seen, you turn to the Comm Team Famous Four for your reward – membership of the Comm Team, after all, the Fabulous Five has a ring to it. They thank you for your help in this mission, and they pull out a “Secret Agent Pen” to give you your membership.
